FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What this is, what it costs, and what happens to what you say.
Is Rehearse free?
Yes. Rehearse is free to use. There is no trial, no card and no paid tier to unlock the practice or the feedback.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. You describe the conversation and start straight away.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. All you need is a microphone and somewhere reasonably private to speak.
What conversations can I practise?
Anything you can describe. People use it for workplace conversations like feedback, workload, resignations and pay, for personal conversations like boundaries and family disagreements, for political and religious debates, and for interviews and negotiations.
How does the feedback work?
After the conversation ends, the transcript is read back and you get a short review: what landed, what did not, quotes from what you actually said, and one thing to focus on next time. Practise the same conversation again and the feedback also tells you what changed.
Are my conversations private?
Your scenarios, transcripts and feedback are stored in your own browser rather than in an account on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How long does a session take?
A few minutes. Conversations are deliberately short so that starting again feels cheap, because the value is in repeating it rather than in one long run.
Is it suitable for workplace conversations?
Yes, and that is the most common use. Pushing back on workload, giving difficult feedback, disagreeing with a manager, asking for a pay rise and resigning are all things people rehearse here.
Can I practise political or religious discussions?
Yes. The other side holds the position you tell it to hold, including views you disagree with, so you can practise staying steady rather than arguing with a softened version of the person.
Is Rehearse a replacement for professional advice?
No. It is practice, not advice. For anything involving bullying, discrimination, safety, legal risk or your health, speak to HR, a union, a lawyer or a professional.
